Knitwear, Cared For
Share
Good knitwear rewards a little attention. Treat a merino jumper well and it will keep its shape and softness for years.
The essentials:
- Wash less than you think — air it after wearing and spot-clean small marks.
- When you do wash, use cool water and a wool-friendly detergent, inside out.
- Never wring. Press the water out gently and dry flat, reshaping as you go.
- Fold, don’t hang — hangers stretch the shoulders.
- Store with cedar, not mothballs, and give it room to breathe.
Do this, and the piece you reach for this winter will still look right five winters from now.
